Berlin is famous for its many excellent museums. Because the prewar museum sites and parts of the old collections were located in what became East Berlin, a magnificent new museum complex, collectively called the Dahlem Museums, was built in the district of Dahlem. The Egyptian Museum is also noted for its outstanding collection, which includes the celebrated bust of Queen Nefertiti.
